Joe AdamsJoe Adams (Managing Principal) has over 25 years in the credit and account receivables management industry. During this span, he has served as a senior manager for some of the leading banks, credit grantors, collections agencies and debt buyers in the country. A well known and respected leader in the collections and recovery profession, Joe is a frequent speaker and forum leader at various industry conferences and seminars.

As the Chief Operating Officer for Collins Financial Services, Mr. Adams was responsible for the day to day operations and strategic planning of this large, respected debt purchaser. This 300+ FTE company had 2 collections sites and purchased portfolios consisting of credit card, personal loan, medical, auto and personal loan accounts.

At CitiFinancial, Mr. Adams served in the position of Senior Vice President of Consumer Financial North America Recovery. In this position, Mr. Adams managed a $4.5B portfolio with 355 FTE in offices located in Puerto Rico, Canada and the United States. Responsibilities including the collections and recovery of accounts originating at CitiMortgage, CitiFinancial Mortgage, and the 2500 CitiFinancial branches located in the previously mentioned locations. Mr. Adams continually delivered year over year portfolio liquidation improvements ranging from 6.5-9%, while reducing expenses by an average of 7% annually. He also served as a subject matter expert auditor, performing reviews of Citi operations in Turkey, Spain and Poland.

In the position of Senior Operations Manager at Asset Management Outsourcing, a multi-office, national collections  Joe led the initiative to increase collections and revenue generation, enhance client satisfaction and improve collector retention. During his tenure, the client base included Mercedes Benz, Nissan, Household, Ford Motor Credit, Capital One, Bank One, First USA, numerous hospitals and medical centers.

During his tenure at First USA/Bank One (now JPM Chase), Mr. Adams held a variety of positions. As the Director of Collections, Mr. Adams managed 250 credit card collectors, which had responsibility for accounts from OL – 210 days past due.  In this position, Mr. Adams introduced strategies and procedures that reduced delinquency roll rates in the latter stages (150,180DPD) by 15% and charge-off rates by 8%. In his capacity of Vice President/ Recovery Operations, he led a team that managed all facets of the recovery process including bankruptcy, probate, portfolio sales, internal recovery collections and agency & attorney management.  In 1988, he instituted one of the first credit card portfolio sales. Other notable accomplishments in this position include establishing the external vendor network, improving recoveries by 16% while reducing the cost to collect by 11%.
