SAS 70 Certification Preparation and Assistance
Due to data security and accounting procedural concerns, credit grantors are increasingly requiring that their current and prospective agencies have SAS 70 certification. There are two (2) levels of SAS 70 certification. The Type 1 certification verifies that the controls in place at a specific time are adequate to meet specified control objectives. The Type 2 certification tests that the controls were suitably designed and operational over a period of time.

- Meeting with management staff to present an overview of the SAS 70 certification process and to assess individual department readiness
- Review of current policies, procedures, processes and control activities. Make recommendations to strengthen any areas of deficiency
- Drafting of control activities document for the Service Auditor (CPA)
- Performing pre-certification audits, similar to those performed by the Service Auditor, to ensure that control activities are being adhered to
- Provide a licensed, experienced Certified Public Account firm to perform the audit
- Being on-site during the audit
